Krista's Wish

Another wish arrived yesterday from Krista. I love the pink and green colors, and the Chinese symbols for faith, strength, peace, and love. The quote is one of Helen Keller's, "Life is either a daring adventure...or nothing at all."

Krista is another single mom to be. She's waiting for her Mia and her LID is exactly one month before mine.

Thank you, Krista.

Mariah's Wish

This gorgeous wish comes from Mariah in South Carolina, who is patiently waiting for her Sloan. Mariah and I share the same agency, AWAA. The lyrics are from a Rascal Flatts song, and Mariah included their CD in the package so that I could hear the song and share it with Jillian someday. That's so thoughtful!

Mariah, this is so beautiful. You made my day!

Connie's Wish

This lovely wish comes from Connie in Ohio. Connie is waiting for her Jadyn.

The wish includes lyrics from Steven Curtis Chapman's song "I Will Be Here". That song was a part of my sister's wedding ceremony fifteen years ago. I told Connie that I'd always thought of it as a love song from a man to a woman, but the lyrics are fitting for the parent child relationship, too. I was very moved as I read them again with new eyes.

Thank you, Connie!

Julie's Wish

This beautiful and creative wish comes from Julie of To Tess and Back.

She has included the lyrics from "I Wish For You" by Jessica Andrews on the page here. The colors match my bedroom decor. I just love it!

Thank you, Julie!

I'm just realizing how much I'm going to learn about scrapbooking design from the pages I receive for this book. Very cool!

Good Wishes for Jillian

For those of you who emailed me requesting quilt squares, they are on the way to you as of today!

I've decided not to make a OHGWQ for Jillian. GASP! I know, I know... I have my reasons and they mostly have to do with the fact that I don't quilt, or sew, or knit, or anything along those lines. I had a hard enough time cutting out the quilt squares with pinking shears. You should have seen me...

What I'd like to do instead is fill this

with as many good wishes in the form of scrapbook pages from family, friends, maybe even my students, and my blogging buddies as possible. I just loved the beautiful embossed cover and the floral design. I was able to personalize it with Jillian's initial, too.

If you would like to contribute to Jillian's Good Wishes Book, I'd be delighted. Just design a scrapbook page to fit. The scrapbook holds 8.5" x 8.5" papers. Make sure you include your name and where you live on the page, and a picture of you and yours would be great, but isn't required. Email me if you have any questions.

p.s. I have lots of fabric left over. If you still need quilt squares for your OHGWQ, email me with your address and I will be happy to risk my life again with the pinking shears to send one to you! ;-)

Merci, beaucoup!
